How Does The Wireless Transmitter and Receiver System Work?

CVW products are used to send video and audio signals from any HDMI&SDI video source. Wireless video transmitters eliminate the need to run cables from a cameras location back to a monitor or recording device but they do require power at the cameras location. Batteries can be used for short term operation of a few hours but for continuous use a power outlet is recommended. Using separate video transmitters and receivers with cameras you can get longer transmission range then is possible with traditional cabling mode. If you match the system with the scurity camera, this method also allows you to make most any standard security camera into a wireless camera so if your surveillance needs change you can change the camera to match. 

A wireless video transmitter is great for sending video and audio signals from places where running wire is difficult or possibly prohibited. Some uses for these products include existing homes or structures where it can be very hard to conceal video cables or when you want to monitor a separate building which may be to far to run cables. The distances these devices can transmit are generally stated in line of sight ranges meaning there can not be anything but air between the transmitter’s antenna and the receiver’s antenna. Without line of sight the transmission distances can be significantly reduced depending on the objects the signal must penetrate. Metal and concrete or brick are the hardest single objects for signals to penetrate and a number of trees in the way also makes it difficult for signals to get through. A number of things can be done to increase range such as the use of high gain directional antennas, increasing the height of the video transmitter and receiver or just getting the antennas of the transmitter and receiver outside a wall by using an antenna cable.
