On October 1, a National Day flag-raising ceremony took place at Erqi Square in Zhengzhou, China, drawing thousands of spectators. The event captured widespread attention, with footage also shared by China Central Television (CCTV).

For the third consecutive year, the production team selected theCVW Thunder PRO-Duowireless video transmission system to support the live broadcast, demonstrating continued confidence in its performance in demanding real-world environments.

Challenges: Dense Crowds and Complex RF Conditions

Large-scale outdoor events present significant challenges for wireless video transmission. At Erqi Square, dense crowds, frequent movement, and surrounding buildings created potential signal obstructions. Meanwhile, the concentration of smartphones, two-way radios, and live production equipment added to the complexity of the radio frequency (RF) environment.

Under these conditions, stable video transmission was essential to minimize signal interruptions and ensure reliable video delivery throughout the live production.

CVW Thunder PRO-Duo: Reliable Performance in Challenging Environments

To address these challenges, the production team deployed theCVW Thunder PRO-Duowireless video transmission system, leveraging three key capabilities:

1. Strong Penetration and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) Transmission

With strong signal penetration and NLOS transmission capabilities, Thunder PRO-Duo helps maintain reliable video links when people, equipment, or other obstacles block the direct signal path.

2. Long-Range Transmission for Flexible Camera Placement

With a wireless transmission range of up to1,000 meters, Thunder PRO-Duo gives production teams greater flexibility in positioning cameras and adapting to on-site requirements without being constrained by long cable runs.

3. High-Quality Video Transmission

Powered byH.265 video encoding and decoding, Thunder PRO-Duo supports video transmission at resolutions up to1080p60, balancing transmission efficiency with the image quality required for professional live production.

Together, these capabilities help production teams manage complex on-site conditions with greater confidence, allowing them to focus on camera operation and live production rather than transmission constraints.

Reliable Wireless Transmission for Every Important Moment

From public ceremonies and live broadcasts to sporting events, concerts, and emergency response exercises, professional productions demand dependable wireless video transmission in challenging environments.

With its strong penetration, NLOS transmission, and long-range capabilities, theCVW Thunder Seriesprovides a reliable wireless video solution for demanding professional applications.

The successful deployment of Thunder PRO-Duo at the National Day flag-raising ceremony in Zhengzhou further demonstrates its value in real-world environments characterized by dense crowds, physical obstructions, and complex RF conditions.
